Ananda Tandava:
a gathering place, a retreat center, the opportunity to build Kula, a community of the heart
During the autumn of 2007 my husband, Justin and I entered into serious negotiations with our hearts and minds. We asked those all important questions: What do we want, how much do we want it and what are we willing to do about it? The land drew us in, the house was begging to be dedicated to yoga and Kula. On December 10, 2007 it became ours!
We appropriately chose to name this place Ananda Tandava, the blissful dance. Life is a dance, a pulsation of all that is possible. If we choose to join in this dance we can direct the course of our lives and at the same time be open to the unexpected.

Yoga is deepening relationships. One way to deepen a relationship is with good conversation. Ananda Tandava is dedicated to advancing the conversation, to sitting near by with good company, to sharing food, asana and our stories.

Ananda Tandava hosts Dr. Douglas Brooks, renowned philosophy scholar.
A year later, autumn 2008 we launch, what I hope will be, the beginning of many meaningful and interesting conversations with you. This is such a beautiful time of year, the light mellows, the earth starts to slow down and we can pause to harvest the preceding year.

Ananda Tandava is situated in the Arkansas River Valley. It is surrounded by breath taking views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. It is just 12 miles east of Salida, CO and easily accessible.

In addition to scheduled events (the schedule follows) we are really excited to be able to offer Create a Retreat. If you’d like to visit for private instruction, spend a day, a weekend or a week, we can accommodate you. Bring friends and let us know what will please you. Choose the times of your yoga sessions, plan your menu, have a spa day in Salida, commune with the earth and help cultivate our many gardens, float down the Arkansas, visit one of the many natural hot springs in the area, or just hang out in the hammock or swing on our swing……it is up to you.

We are able to house 10 students and more housing is available just one mile away at Bandera’s Bunk House, www.banderasbunkhouse.com. If you are overwhelmed by the mega yoga workshops, want private or semi private yoga instruction in a beautiful, intimate setting, this is for you. We are dedicated to sharing the authenticity of Anusara Yoga and Rajanaka Tantra. We are dedicated to listening to your needs and offering with fullness of heart.

Our studio, with radiant in floor heat, is ready and waiting to welcome you. The door is open. The invitation has been extended. We do hope you will choose to linger a little longer in the sweetness of this place, come and sit near by and slow down long enough to hear the song of the universe as she is singing in you, as you. Do you want to just live, or Live Deeply?
With great love and gratitude,
Jamie and Justin Allison
