August 21-23, 2009 - Columbia, MD

“Dear Jamie and Justin,

Thank you both so very much for an incredible weekend. After 2 years of very confusing back issues I am sensing the possibility of transforming my lower back into strength. My back felt so good the next day after the first yoga I’ve done in almost a year. Although there is still residual soreness from the many months of misuse (hitting that forehand!), now that I know what’s causing it and how to manage it, it’s getting better day-by-day. Thank you both for being so generous and sensitive.”

 Love, Pat

“Hi Jamie and Justin,

I attended the workshop at the Yoga Center of Columbia last weekend, and since I had to leave before the last session was finished, I didn’t get to properly thank you both.  I can’t tell you how much last weekend meant to me and helped me.  I feel like my practice has deepened and moved into practicing “from the inside out.” I will be a better teacher because of this workshop, and so my students will benefit…the joy ripples out!  You inspired me so much that I’m planning on starting Anusara Immersion in January 2010!”

Wishing you much peace & joy,

Colleen Palmateer

“I thank you and Justin for a lovely retreat. It was an amazing experience and hope to make the retreat a yearly endeavor. The space for breakfast and lunch was beautiful and very comfortable. The retreat center is gorgeous! The meals were delicious. The morning Dharana with Douglas was transforming. I enjoyed this part of the retreat very much. Thank you again. You are a beautiful teacher. I learned so much from you.”

Blessings,

 Melissa

“Dear Jamie,

I had a wonderful time this past week.  Thank you so much for all your hard work.  You put together a terrific retreat that I will be raving about for a long time.  There are so many things that I enjoyed about the time I spent with you.  The asana practice was amazing. The instruction and adjustments you gave were very informative and in many ways transforming. You have such deep knowledge and are a gifted teacher.  I look forward to learning more from you. I thought the food was terrific and what a challenge to meet all the food restrictions!  I know you had help from many people (Justin and Cindy in particular) and it all came together beautifully.  Of course I bet almost anything would be tasty if you could eat it looking at the amazing views and sharing such wonderful conversation.  I met so many interesting and intelligent people.  And it was very special for me to be with a group of people who are as passionate about yoga as I am.  Thank you for everything and WELL DONE!!”

Love and hugs,

- Susan Skovron, Seattle, Washington

“Your teaching has, yet again, taken my practice even deeper. You are the teacher who has taught me the most by far. Thank you again for setting the cairns on my path to transformation.”

 - Claire Evans, Denver, CO

“Thank you so very much for such a special week with you, Douglas and Justin.  I am so full and so grateful.  I feel empowered and inspired!  I continue to experience your teachings every day and I feel my practice opening with great delight.  I've said it so many times, I really adore you!  The depth of your knowledge combined with the clarity you bring to teaching is priceless.  Thank you for all that you have put into becoming the gift that you are!”
